Billy "Bo" Scott

After attending Palomar Community College and California State University at Long Beach, Billy "Bo" Scott Began his Army Career in 1984 as a Still Photographic specialist with the First Psychological Operations Group (USAR) in San Diego California. He subsequently reclassified as a Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic and enlisted into the regular Army. His First assignment was at Fort Polk Louisiana, followed by a tour in Korea and then Fort Eustis. With the Seventh Transportation Group, Bo served as a motor sergeant in two different battalions before being selected for recruiting duty in 1993. His deployments with the 7th Transportation Group included Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica, numerous missions to Central America, Greenland, Europe, and Saudi Arabia in support of Operations Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and Desert Farewell. He then spent 13 Years in the Recruiting Command, assignments as a Field Recruiter, Station Commander, BN Operations NCO, Guidance counselor Garnering numerous awards and recognition as a superior recruiting NCO. Bo is a graduate of the US Army Basic Recruiting Course, Station Commander Course, Guidance Counselor and Operations Course, and the Advanced Non-commissioned Officer academy. He successfully combined his interest in computer gaming and his expertise as a recruiting leader to develop methods to leverage the video game America's Army: Operations as a marketing and recruiting tool. Soon, he was selected as a beta tester for the game, and acted as a recruiting subject matter expert for OEMA. Bo retired in August, 2006, and is currently engaged in advising OEMA and USAREC in integrating America's Army assets into recruiting marketing initiatives and recruiting operations. He lives in Newport News, Virginia, with his wife Lisa and their two children, Taylor Nicole and Morgan Paige. In his spare time, Bo enjoys riding his Honda Valkyrie with the US Military Vets Motorcycle Club.
