Gregory E. Carswell
Associate
Gregg's career in the U.S. Air Force included tours with the National Security Agency as a Cryptologic Team Chief and as a Flight Test Director with the Air Force Material Command. He also served as the Lead Flight Dynamics Engineer with the Air Force Flight Test Center on the YF-23 and F-16 fighter development programs and as Commander of the Weapons Development Flight Test Engineering Section at the Air Armament Center. His last tour was in the V-22 Program Office as head of testing on the Air Force's variant of the tiltrotor aircraft. Gregg's training in the Air Force included the French Test Pilot School as an exchange officer from the Air Force Test Pilot School. Prior to joining JHNA in 2007, He was on the staff at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, where he led systems engineering projects for the Global Hawk and Navy VTUAV programs and command and control support for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. His civilian positions included chief engineer for aerospace companies specializing in aircraft systems and unmanned aircraft. Gregg has degrees in aerospace engineering from the University of Tennessee, mechanical engineering from California State University and technical management from Johns Hopkins University. He and his wife Anita live in Earlysville, Virginia, and have three children.
