John E. Quackenbush
Associate
John is the President of JEQ Enterprises, Inc and joined JHNA in 2004. After graduating from West Point, John completed a distinguished 20-year Army career, having served in a variety of command and staff positions highlighted with tours in the 3rd Armored Division, the 25th Infantry Division (Light) and the 18th Airborne Corps. As a Senior Army Aviator, John served in AH-64A and AH-1S Attack Helicopter units. His significant Staff experience included tours as a Force Development Officer and Secretary of the General Staff at the Army Human Resources Command. His last assignment was on the Joint Staff where he served in the J-3 Combating Terrorism Directorate and in the J-5 where, as the Afghanistan Country Director, he prepared Joint Staff strategic plans and policies for Operation Enduring Freedom. He is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College. Since retiring from the military in 2004, he has consulted as a systems engineer on several projects, providing concepts, requirements, architecture, and systems engineering products for General Dynamics Robotics Systems on the Future Force Warrior Advanced Technology Demonstration and the FCS Autonomous Navigation System programs. He has led requirements analysis teams in writing functional requirements leading to system performance specifications. He has also coordinated the integration of requirements, use cases and architectures. John and his wife Donna have two children, Megan and Patrick. In his spare time, John enjoys coaching little league baseball and serving on his church board of deacons.
