Projects: Future Force Warrior Re-baselining

Client: General Dynamics C4 Systems

Title: Future Force Warrior Phase Systems Engineering Re-baseline

Summary: From April 2005 to October 2005 JHNA participated in the FFW program restructuring and merging with the existing Land Warrior program. During this Systems Engineering Synchronization phase, JHNA provided extensive operational and systems architecture support to the program by developing and refining six integrated processes (IP), mapping the 2010 spinout 2 LW capability to both Stryker Brigade and Infantry brigade modular structures. The key integrated processes included IPs 1b, 3, 14, 8, 22, 23 from the FCS compendium. JHNA also supported development of system architecture products. During this time JHNA continued support to Test and Demonstration development. Finally, JHNA provided a consulting team to support the Systems Engineering and Requirements Analysis efforts to develop the Small Combat Unit and ground soldier functional requirements and system performance specifications. This team cross-walked the Ground Soldier System CDD requirements to projected spinout 2 capabilities to produce FFW system performance specifications.

Deliverables: Deliverables include supporting concept papers, system requirements assessment documents, and over 40 operational architecture products designed using JHNA's conventional design process (PowerPoint art) and redesign support using the Popkin System Architect software.
