Projects: MRASS & RAAM Assessment

Client: TAACOM-ARDEC: Support to Picatinny Arsenal

Title: MRASS & RAAM Assessment Relevance to FCS

Summary: Over the course of more than a year and three program phases, JHNA provided technical consultation to the Army Research and Development and Experimentation Command (ARDEC) at Picatinny, New Jersey.

JHNA's support entailed assessing the Multi-Role Armament and Ammunition System (MRAAS) and Responsive Accurate Munitions Module (RAMM) systems' applicability and relevance to the Future Combat System's Unit of Action concepts. The program had three primary phases. The first phase included a technical assessment of the weight and lethality characteristics of the MRASS system and an assessment of the utility of three advanced munitions. Phase two entailed writing a technical article that detailed phase one's findings that was published in the Field Artillery journal in March, 2002. During phase three the company developed a seven minute video used by ARDEC at the October, 2002 AUSA industry conference. ARDEC displayed the materials during the length of the conference and JHNA provided on hand support and subject matter expertise in support of ARDEC.

Deliverables: JHNA developed a comprehensive MRASS/RAAM marketing presentation; wrote a technical article published in the Mar-Apr 2002 FA Journal; and scripted, directed and review an MRASS film shown at the Picatinny booth for the October 2002 AUSA convention.
