Title: Active Protection System

Summary: JHNA developed a CONOPS for a variety of Metal Storm launchers mounted on unmanned ground and air robotic platforms, manned ground vehicles, fixed field, and Soldier transported versions to provide protection for a fixed site. The CONOPS included a range of mission types including lethal and nonlethal mission profiles. The CONOPS serves as the top-level framework to relate key operational capabilities; system performance expectations, and operational architecture relationships between key entities for exchange of information, interoperability, integration and interface.

Deliverables: Tactical Vignettes describing various offensive and defensive concepts illustrating the proposed employment of the Metal Storm Active Protection System on various platforms/facilities. Iterative discussions with Metal Storm engineers and briefings to key Army personnel.
